Frequently Asked Questions

Here is a list of some of the Day for Saint Leo frequently asked questions from our advocates. If you need additional assistance, please contact email engagement.giving@saintleo.edu or call (352) 588-8667.

Q: The campaign is not live yet. Is there somewhere else I can go to create an account?
A: Yes! Go givecampus/sign_up to set up your account.

Q: I signed up for a user account. Am I an advocate yet?
A: Not yet. Signing up for a user account does not make you an advocate. Becoming an advocate means taking active steps to promote the campaign to others. So once you set up your account, you’ll want to start informing your network about Day For Saint Leo and start mapping out how you’ll achieve fundraising success. If you need help, follow the tips for achieving success as an advocate or email engagement.giving@saintleo.edu.

Q: I already created a user account for last year’s giving day. Do I need to create a new account for this campaign? A: No. You may continue to log into the same user account year-after-year.

Q: When should I give?
A: As soon as possible! We encourage advocates to make a gift or offer their matches and challenges as soon as possible and before the public campaign launch.

Q: I don’t have a video camera. Can I still make a personal plea?
A: Absolutely. Your personal plea can be as simple as a selfie video recorded on your phone. You don’t have to do anything fancy. Just keep it simple and tell a compelling story.

Q: I uploaded my personal plea, but I don’t see my video yet. Why?
A: It will appear soon. Every personal plea is reviewed by a member of the university to ensure that it’s up to our standards before it is approved and posted.

Q: When should I post my Personal Plea?
A: As soon as possible. This way it will be up and ready to go for the campaign launch. It may also serve as inspiration for other advocates.

Q: When should I share the campaign link?
A: The campaign link should be shared on the day of the campaign. The site will go live at midnight on April 5.
