Terlynn “Chanita” OldsRecently, Alumni Association Board member Vicki Wiggins ’99, ’04 had an opportunity to conduct a Q&A with former colleague and fellow alumna, Terlynn “Chanita” Olds.

Where were you born?

Marianna, FL (Panhandle of Florida).

Where do you live now?

Pittsburgh, PA.

Where do you work and how long have you been there?

Chatham University, Director of Athletics, for two years.

What is your dream job?

Being an Athletic Director on the Division II level.

Any hobbies?

Reading, shopping, playing racquetball.

What is your dream vacation?

Three weeks in Paris.

Do you have a favorite motto, scripture, or just an idea by which you live?

“Make each day your Masterpiece,” because you never know who’s watching.

What memory of your time at Saint Leo stands out in your mind the most?

“When my A&P professor came and got me out of my residence hall (Henderson) because I had been missing too many classes.” She made me feel as if my mom had arrived at Leo!

What word/words capture the sentiment of the students during your time at Saint Leo?

We were more of a family than fellow students. During the 1996-1998 years, we only had a little over 300 students and everyone supported one another.
